Extended 3-hour sessions for focused, deeper EMDR work — online in New York, Florida, and Vermont.
Some work doesn't fit neatly into 50 minutes. An EMDR intensive gives a single stuck point the time it actually needs, in one carefully structured extended session, without the weekly stop and restart.
I offer 3-hour online EMDR intensives — $600, private pay with superbill available — for clients in New York, Florida, and Vermont. An intensive compresses what might take weeks of standard sessions into one extended, carefully structured block of processing.
Standard EMDR happens in 50-minute sessions: you open the work, process, and stabilize before time runs out — then pick the thread back up the next week. An intensive removes that stop-start rhythm. With three hours, we can move into deeper processing and stay there, without spending the first stretch of each session finding our way back.
They tend to fit when there's one specific memory or stuck point you want focused work on; when weekly therapy has plateaued and something needs more sustained attention; when your schedule makes weekly sessions hard to protect; or when you're a therapist yourself and want to do concentrated work between your own caseload demands.
They're not a shortcut for everything — complex histories often still call for weekly work, and sometimes an intensive works best embedded in ongoing therapy. We decide that together.
We begin with resourcing: grounding, stabilization, and making sure you have what you need before we open anything. The middle is extended processing on the target we've agreed on. The final stretch is closing and stabilization — you will not be sent back into your day mid-processing.
Yes. Bilateral stimulation adapts well to telehealth — visual and auditory formats both work over video — and there's a quiet advantage to ending the session already in your own space, with your own tea and your own couch, instead of commuting home raw.
A 3-hour EMDR intensive is $600, private pay, with a superbill available for out-of-network reimbursement. Standard 50-minute sessions are $200 and 90-minute extended sessions are $275 — see Fees & Insurance for the full picture, or read more about how I work with EMDR.
No — but every intensive starts with an intake session first, so we can assess fit, history, and readiness before scheduling the extended work.
Intensives are private pay at $600. I provide a superbill you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement; standard 50-minute EMDR sessions can be billed in-network in New York and Florida.
