Anxiety

Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people come to therapy, and one of the most treatable. You don't have to keep pushing through it.

Anxiety is exhausting to live with. Whether it shows up as constant worry, perfectionism, a body that won't relax, or a quiet sense that something is about to go wrong: it responds well to treatment.

What anxiety actually looks like

Anxiety doesn't always look like panic. For a lot of people, it's subtler: relentless what-if thoughts, difficulty sitting with uncertainty, a body that stays tense even when nothing is wrong.

It can show up as trouble sleeping, avoiding things you know are fine, feeling like you're always slightly behind, or staying busy so you don't have to feel what's underneath. Whatever shape it takes, if it's getting in the way, it's worth addressing.

How I work with anxiety

We start by understanding what your anxiety is actually doing and what it's trying to protect you from. From there, we use talk therapy and, where appropriate, EMDR to address the underlying experiences that keep it running.

We're working on the root. That might mean looking at early experiences that shaped how you understand safety, or at the relationship between your anxiety and your sense of self-worth. The goal is lasting change.

What you can expect

Progress with anxiety is real and often noticeable within the first couple of months. You'll start to notice more space between you and the anxious response, more choice, less reactivity, and a growing ability to sit with uncertainty without it taking over.
